Wish me luck!

I'm going under the knife tomorrow! (I was going to make a funny joke here, about surgery, but decided it wasn't appropriate.)

The day has finally come for me to get my tonsils out.
And my deviated septum fixed.
And I'm freaking out.
Really.

I think I ate as much as I could today. The thought of not being able to eat scares me. So now, off to sleep, just to wake up and head into the surgery room.

I'm doing my best to be brave, but I'm not so good at that.

Wish me luck!!!!!

Good luck!!! I got my tonsils out at 17 and it was rough, but a boy at church (also 17) just got his out a few weeks ago, and with the new techniques, he bounced back SO quickly! I was actually jealous, and then felt bad about feeling jealous that he healed so quickly! You will do wonderfully and it will change your life!

Good luck! You'll be fine! Just remember to take it easy and take your pain meds before the pain gets too bad! I hear you'll have your mom soon so that will be good too.

Marci!! I've had both of these surgeries!!! I had my tonsils out at age 25! That is not that long ago. It was rough. I can say that now that I know you have already had it done. I do not wish that surgery on anyone when they are as old as I was. huh!!! Also, I had to have deviated septum fixed twice because it didn't heal completely right. But, I can't imagine doing both at the same time. Plus, I just had surgery in June this year too. Ugh. I've think I've done enough surgeries. But, I have one more to go! I have a PFO (hole in heart) that needs to be fixed up. I've heard that surgery is pretty easy though and doesn't have a lot of pain associated at all. I talked to your mom and dad on Sunday. I hope you are doing well! Everyday will get better and better!
